Claude Choules, the last combat veteran of the First World War, dies at 110 The Sun Features

The ex-Royal Navy seaman, who died in his sleep yesterday aged 110, was born at the height of the second Boer War.
He went to his grave as the very last of more than 70million military personnel mobilised during the Great War, and the last man on earth to have seen action in both world wars.
His death marks the moment the Great War passes forever from living memory into the history books.
